Beautiful I watch you try
Before I write a nice uplifting post about perseverance, winning battles and coming full circle,
I switched the button on last night and everything rushed in, she put it perfectly- ‘you missed a step’, indeed I have. See, just like a vampire, I could easily switch it off, focus on everything else and pretend like it doesn’t bother me. But lets be honest, it bothers everyone because apparently it’s the best thing in the world. And when you let yourself feel everything, of course it hurts. Please don’t look at me like that and yea, don’t even think about touching me. So annoyed with myself for wearing what I was wearing, should have just worn my best sheets. Damn, it really sucks the life out of me doesn’t it, so much inhibitions. But in this reflective period, I can’t kick that feeling of unaccomplish-ment off. I guess I can’t have everything the way I would like, I can’t organise my life such that Mr Perfect walks in when I want him to. Ain’t that the age-old shittery of life and love. Am I meant to get rid of my idealistic thoughts and settle? Settle for what? I still say No. No. No because even if it takes a while, slow and steady wins the race- story of my life. All I know is that there are two songs in the world, one I will sing for you and the other you sing to me.
In the meantime, I guess I look on the bright side and call my inexperience different and interesting. And when I find you, I’ll finally know what I’ve been looking for.
Hungover in this boiling heat, at least John is playing. I still feel like I’m partially drunk. There is darkness in light or is there light in darkness? Which one is this? Whatever it is, I am an architect of days that haven’t happened yet, you know my paper heart with pencil marks; crushed and thrown in the bin? Oh look now, there is life in it yet.
Hey, Show me something I can be
Play a song that I can sing
Make me feel as I am free
Someone come speak for me.
